The staff at the Ontario (Inland Empire)facility are all highly professional and were concerned for my mental and physical state before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Brian Machida spent time with me prior to the procedure to insure that I was fully informed on what would happen, discussed the results I should expect, and addressed my questions and concerns thoroughly and patiently. I was fully prepared and knew what to expect prior to the procedure. Like any normal person, I was nervous on the big day but when I arrived at the center, the medical staff took care of me. Dr. Machida entered the room and made sure I was calm and ready and told me once again how he would proceed. I had full confidence in Dr. Machida and the staff members and was calm and relaxed before, during, and after the procedure; I never had any doubt whatsoever! The results - life changing! I was afraid of every aspect of this procedure but I have two friends who'd had the Lifestyle Lift with amazing results so I decided to at least go for a consultationafter all it was free and there was no committment.
Two days after a very informative and reassuring consultation I scheduled a surgery datestill a bit fearful but definitely ready to look and feel better about myself. At 64 going on 65 I felt I was looking pretty wretched.
I had both the lift and the peel. For the next few days I was very, very swollen and red-facedjust as expected. I took the Vicodin as instructed and don't remember any pain at all. The only discomfort I did have was mild and due to the skin peel, my face felt like I had a bad sunburn but a few bags of frozen peas took care of that.
I recommend a caretaker for the first couple of days for help with the bandages, icepacks, etc. My husband took time off work to help out and I was very glad he did.
Honestly, the worst part of the recovery for me was having to sleep propped up for the first few days, then on my back for the next couple of weeks and not being able to leave the house for a week without scaring small children.
However......once the sutures were removed on day seven I was out and about and resuming normal activities. I was still moderately bruised and swollen but already seeing a much younger looking faceand realizing that the first seven days of "inconvenience" was going to be a very small price to pay for my new look.
By the second week I was really looking good, was showing myself off to friends and family and knew I was going to be extremely happy with the end result.
It's now week five and I look great! I still have a hint of swelling and bruising here and there but my youthful neck and jawline are back, my fine lines are gone and my skin is glowingexactly what I'd hoped and paid for.
This was the best Christmas present EVER!!

i was really sick to look at myself in the mirro how old i looked no matter what5 i tried never seem to help,then i seen the add on tv about life style lift and decided to go in and check it out,everyone there was really nice and took brfore picture after talking with them and talking with dr. brian machida m.d.i deecided to go with it and have my lift done. amonth later i went in for my after pictures and see my doctor,when he showed me my before pictures and then my after picture i couldn't believe how much i have change and i dont look like a old lady i really feel good about my self i just wish i would have done these years ago.

The staff and Doctor were very good about explaining the procedure and after care. They were polite and knowledgeable about the entire process.
I felt little to no pain and the recovery was easy to go through...

I still cannot believe that I have undergone this procedure in that I never considered myself to be a cosmetic surgery type person. I was in the process of getting estimates to have my kitchen remodeled and all of a sudden I decided to go for a consultation at Lifestyle Lift. Guess I figured time is hurrying by and I'm tired of spending money on my house. So I went to the consultation and decided right then that I wanted to go ahead with it.
In retrospect I probably should have done more research and am shocked at how impulsive the decision really was. Putting your face in someone's hands is a big deal. I see that more than before I did it. However, I did know a few people who had done it and I had read about Dr. Brian Machida in some online reviews. The procedure was performed approximately two weeks after my initial appt. and I specifically asked for Dr. Machida. His education, experience and demeanor made me feel confident that he knew what he was doing. More than ever I am convinced he is an extremely talented and dedicated surgeon.
The initial procedure went smoothly and I healed up fast. Returning to work was not an issue because I retired last year. Nevertheless, I was out and about within a week but there was still slight bruising that was healing.
Approximately six months after the initial procedure, there were a few areas that I was not completely happy withspecifically these little pockets of fat next to my mouth. No one seemed to see it but me...and Dr.Machida. He agreed that it could look better. I went in and he basically did the procedure again except for my neck and eyes but this time the results are exactly what I had hoped for. It's only been like three and a half weeks but it really looks great!! I was much happier with the second procedure and I especially appreciated how enthusiastic Dr. Machida was about doing it again. I didn't feel like I was being unrealistic in my expectations and he assured me that my concerns could and would be addressed.
I am a little reluctant to urge others to do it because individuals all heal differently and everyone's financial situation is different. But overall, I am so glad I did it. I probably spend way too much time looking in the mirror now, but it still kind of takes me by surprise at a store trying on a hat or something silly. I get a little thrill at how pretty my face looks to me. It seems to look BETTER than when I was in college. It isn't that I look younger than many years ago but my chin and throat have a line and definition that I have never had. I feel like my face is more feminine now. For me, it goes deep and caused a shift in how I feel about myself.
So basically, I can only speak to my experience with Dr. Machida and his assistant Kathy. They were wonderful and it's very odd to be awake during the procedure, but it was ok and I always felt like I was in good hands.

I did my research before choosing Lifestyle Lift, I am glad I chose going this route. Overall I am satisfied with the end results. The only item I was not too thrilled with is the recovery. 4 months later and my face is still numb, which is to be expected but my face is still in pain and would have liked it if there were more follow up visits to ensure there are no unfavorable side effects. Should the pain and numbness continue beyond the 6 months that I was advised to expect, I will call and hope to get an appt to see the doctor. I had been thinking about the procedure for a couple of years and was very impressed with the adds in my Women's magazines and the advdertisement by Debbie Boone on the television. I am physically fit and have always had comments about my "nice skin", however I had a noticeable "whattle on my neck" and it was very unsightly- especially in a side view.
I made the decision after going to my consultation in Palm Springs. I must admit that as the time came for my procedure I was very nervous. The staff was very supportive. Initially I was just going for the "Lifestyle Lift" but also decided on the "Brow Lift" when I noticed that my eyebrows were below my occipital ridge.
Having two procedures did make recovery more involved. After a month I do have some numbness that is going away at my hairline. I would not suggest doing much for the first two weeks. There was a lot of bruising from the brow lift. Chewing is difficult the first week. Every day got better.
I am leaving for the British Isles in a couple of days. I look refreshed and noticeably younger- comparable to pictures of me taken in my 40"s. I have a 45TH class reunion that is coming up in a month. I have always attended these with my twin sister. She does not want us to go because she says I look much better and younger than she does. I was stunned by the results. I expected to look 50-75% better. I look 150% better. no more droopy eyes and no more turkey neck both caused by thyroid disease.
