Two weeks prior to surgery my first step was to call and make an appointment with the consultant at the Dallas office. The consultant will let you know the cost of the procedure . The RN will visit with you and ask you about your overall health. After researching the web and getting a referral from a friend I chose Dr. Standefer to do my lifestyle lift. Upon meeting Dr. Standefer one day before my surgery ,he talked to me for about an hour on how the procedure was performed . I knew after talking to Dr. Standefer I was in good hands. Surgery was the next day. Dr. Standefer's assistant (Brian) was in the room and he made me feel very confortable, he answered questions I had about being awake during the procedure and assured me I would not feel a thing. I also had the CO2 laser treatment. I was given medication to relax and within an hour and a half I was walking into the lobby to be picked up by my husband. That night I was experienceing quite a bit of pain from the tightness in my neck . My husband helped with keeping ice packs on my face and neck all night. Pain medication did relieve some pain. Being propped up in bed is also very important. Next morning I go back to the Dr's . Office and my bandages are changed and face is cleaned and Aquafor is applied all over my face. I was given instructions on how to clean and apply moisture on my face. Two days later I was getting really sick and my face ,eyes and lips swelled. My husband called Dr. Standefer (Sunday night) and he told me I was alergic to the pain medicine and to stop taking the pain medicine , take benadryl and within 2 or 3 hrs, the swelling was going down. I started taking tylenol extra strengh to relieve the pain for the next 4 or 5 days. I thank my husband for staying home from work and helping me for the first 3 days after surgery. Lots of rest, ice packs and learning to sleep propped up was for vital for the next week. After about 5 days I started feeling better and the tightness in my neck was easing up . One week later you get stitches taken out. The nurse was very gentle when taking them out. Couple of weeks later I am feeling really good. All in all the procedure was all worth it!!!! I would do it again.

After contemplating a LifeStyle Lift for several months, I decided to go for it. I had my triple chin reduced to one, my jowls removed, and I had an eye lift. My excitement grew as I spoke to almost every member of the staff about the pros and cons. There were no hidden agendas and I was treated with respect and like an old friend, no pun intended.
I watched the commercials on TV and thought they must have been touched up – NOT! My before and after pictures look more like a Mother and daughter rather than before and after the procedure. Even I can’t believe the difference. And my husband, well I think he even walks with a little more pep in his step. I catch him looking at me the way he used to 25 years ago.
My birth certificate says I’m 56, I felt 30 and looked 75. I found a Doctor with confidence, assurance, honesty and the skill to make me look and feel beautiful again. Dr. Himmelheber, aka Dr. “H” is that Doctor. There was something comfortable and familiar which is a huge plus.
I had my procedure done 10-12-2011. I woke up the next morning looking not so wonderful. I must admit, the pain was minimal. I carefully followed all instructions given to me before and after the procedure. Sleeping proped up was hard because I'm normally sleep in a fetal position. I actually scared myself one night, thinking something was wrong and called Dr. H. It was about 10:00 pm on a Sunday. He rescued my fears and made me feel a lot better.
After 5 weeks, I look like l thought I always looked, until I saw the before pictures. There was a major difference. I still have a little puffiness but no one seems to notice. My friends at church can’t quite figure out what is so different about me. When I tell them I had a LifeStyle Lift, they cannot believe it. They really start inspecting my face then. The only clue is the small line under my chin which will go away with time.
I love my LifeStyle Lift, my new friends at the LifeStyle center, and Dr H. My LifeStyle Lift has been a blessing and changed my life forever. I would highly recommend this procedure and Dr. H. to anyone who would like to look younger and feel better about yourself.

I had watched the infomercials for several months, wishing I could have it done. I finally made the decision to set up a consultation, and before I left the Lifestyle Lift office in Dallas, I had a date scheduled. First and foremost, the staff and the doctors made me feel so comfortable and like they already knew me. I have not met one person through this experience that wasn't caring and attentive, and more than willing to go the extra mile to answer questions or simply to make me feel like they really valued me as a patient. Dr. Himmelheber went way above my expectations. He was very kind, concerned, and available whenever I had a questions before and after the surgery. I was a little anxious the day of the surgery, but when I arrived, those feelings vanished. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Himmelheber. My experience has been nothing but tremendous. The results are fantastic and I couldn't be happier. I am amazed every time I look in the mirror. In this world where we are in the work force longer and competing with people much younger, it is necessary to look vibrant and young again. My self esteem had diminished quite a bit, but now, I'm on top of the curve again. And the feedback I get is amazing. No one believes that I'm 57 years old and have two grown sons.
